About Me
Just the basic's
I'm Jason, a gay man in his 50's. I live in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, with my Partner and our pets: a black cat, a Leopard Gecko and a sassy Green Cheeked Conure. Home can be pretty busy depending on the day, They all keep me on my toes.
I am a fitness enthusiast and a Pilates Instructor by trade for over 15 years now. Pilates has become a true passion of mine, right up there with writing. I wasn't a great student in school, but I really enjoyed English and Drama. I loved to write creatively, but fear of bullying kept it to myself and I never really tried, Writing was always a secret passion that I indulged in from time to time, for my own enjoyment, and I always good good grades and comments on any of my writing projects.
January 18, 2018 was a day that changed mine and many others lives for ever. It was the day a man was arrested for killing and dismembering 8 men from Toronto's gay safe space, The Village. Two of the men that suffered at the killers hands were men that I cared about very much. When the story of the killers arrest broke, I saw a picture of the monster and realized that I knew him, I had met him once at a friends birthday party. He was loud and entitled, I was put off by his arrogant personality. Something about the man made me very uncomfortable.
Because he plead guilty, there was no trial and the public never got any of the answers they needed, most importantly--- why?
I had a lot of sleepless nights and was held captive by horrifying nightmares daily. It got to a point where I couldn't take it any more and I reached out to a community center in Toronto and was advised by a peer there to write my nightmares out, to get them out of my head. I wrote them out daily and very diligently, and in the process came up with the idea to turn them into a story. I would grab my fear by the horns and create a monster scarier than the one who killed my friends, someone who would go after the monster that killed my people.
The story was years in the making, I hope you enjoy it, There are several more books about Konnor, just waiting to hit the pages, So if you enjoy it, there is more coming!
